FIREWORKS DISPLAY

PROGRAMME TO-NIGHT Adverse weather conditions on Saturday evening resulted in the postponement of the Gisborne ThirtyThousand Club’s fireworks display and concert at the Waikanae Beach in celebration of Guy Fawkes Night. Arrangements have been made for the fixture to be held to-night and although there may be some alteration in the personnel of the officials conducting the show the full programme will be staged as previously announced. In addition to the fireworks display, there will be dancing, novelty items, side shows, and a fine musical programme. The competition for the best dressed "guy" will be judged at 7 o’clock, and the variety concert will commence at 8 o’clock
