TWENTY-THREE PRESIDENTS
COMPLETE LIST FROM FIRST EFFORT !
During the GO years in which Shows have been held, the Poverty Bay A. and P. Association has had presidents. Some have held office for only one term, while others have guided the destinies of the association for three and four years. Only two have had broken terms of office, Mr. G. L. Sunderland, who was the second president, and Mr. J. MacFarJanc. The honour of having the longest term was achieved by Mr. 'l'. Holden, who was president for an unbroken period of seven years from 11)02 to 1909, while Messrs. Sunderland and MacFarlane, in two periods, had a total of six years each. *,

The third president was Mr. Andrew Graham, who held
office from 1884 to 1886. His son, Mr. J. C. Graham, is the association's immediate past president, while the present president, Mr. Roland Graham, is a cousin of Mr. J. C. Graham. Among the presidents of the past two decades were Messrs. G. V, Smith and H. G. Smith, sons of an early vicepresident, Mr. W. W. Smith. Mr. H. G. Smith has had the honour of being present at. every Show from the very beginning, although when lie attended his first he was only a small boy.
