DENTAL CLINIC BALL successful’ function (Herald Correspondent.) A very successful ball was hold m Matawai on Friday night in aid of the Matawai and surrounding districts dental clinic fund.' A tasty supper was served by the mothers under the capable management of Mrs. H. Bulst. The tables weie tastefully decorated with mauve and cerise flowers „ „ , . During the evening Mr. W. F. Robb, chairman of the Matawai School Committee, presented a beautiful oouquet to Miss Cotterill, the dental clime nurse, and spoke of her high stand a i cl of work, which was much appreciated in the district. Miss L. Ruru supplied the music, whil-e Miss M. Korte played an extra. Mr. T. Foster was the m.c. Among those present were Mrs. W. F Robb, wearing a frock of petunia georgette: Miss Cotterill, cyclamen taffeta shot with green; Mrs. H. rAiisu navy georgette and needle-run lace. Miss E. Holmes, wine velvet; Mrs. J. -Briant, wine crepe-de-chinc: Mu. G. Tucker, black sparkle crepe; Mrs. Kidman, black satin; Mrs. W. Mort.eman, black taffeta; Mrs. H. Mills, black satin; Mrs. G. R. Robb, red velvet; Mrs. C. Hustler, plaid taffeta, Mrs. J. Clarkson, white cloque; Mrs. H. G. Munro, deep wine velvet; Mrs. T Foster, black lacc, Mrs. R. Baird, black lace: Mrs. Peach, black velvet; and Mrs. Leslie, Oriental satin Miss A. Gibson wore a frock of petunia taffeta; Miss J. McPike black taffeta with white flowers: Miss b Fisher Burgundy taffeta poulte; Miss L W. Fielder, black chiffon velvet; Miss M. Fisher, striped taffetas; Miss N Clark, blue taffetas; Miss A. Cliozilberrv, black taffeta; Miss B. Tombleson, blue floral taffetas; Miss Sanders aople green, crinkle georgette; Miss F. Nesshausen, lettuce green creoe linen; Miss E. Lewis, blue silk'net with silver trimmings; Miss B. Oswald, lavender and cyclamen satin: Miss J. Wilkins, mauve net; Miss A. Baird, cream Spanish sheer lace; Miss M. Baird, white lacquered paradise satin; Miss M. Korte. shell pink cloque.
