AGED MAORI’S DEATH
A link with the Maori War has been severed with the death of Mr. Ake Ake Om-ihura, aged 94, one of the last remaining Maoris who took part in the memorable engagement of fe Ngutu-o-Tc Manu. Mr. Omahura carried a bullet in his arm until his death. He received this while fighting on behalf of Titokowaru at Pungarchu. A devout follower of Tetohiti. he joined the Titokowarua forces as a youth and remained with the leader until the end of the campaign,
