YOUNG FARMERS' DANCE

The committee of the Tolngn Bay Young Farmers’ Club held a jolly dance on Thursday night in the Reynolds Hall, when about 100 young folk attended. The music was provided by Mrs. Lincoln, and extras were played by Mr. Robison, Misses J. and M. Robison, and Mr. W. Thompson. The supper arrangements were in the hands of Mrs. O. G. James, and Miss ,J. Donald was responsible for the pretty table decorations. Those present included Mcsdames Robison, Dunlop. O. G. James, Higgs. Rougher, Lincoln, Olsen and Gilbertson; Misses P. and J. Higgs, P. Weeks, J. and E. McNamara, O. Lincoln, .Johnson, W. Simpson, M. Binnic, J. Donald, D. Rennie, P. Shepherd, E. Smith, D. Methven, A. Wright, D. Shaw, G. Thompson, I-.. Potu. D. Dunlop, L. Rennie. C. Laing, L. Kelly. A. James. F. Tuivvhai, T. Hr.enga, Atkins and N. Agnew.
The competitions were won by the following; —Monte Carlo: Mrs. Gilbertson and Mr. C. Smith. Statue fox-trot: Miss Elsie McNamara and Mr. S. Sharp. Cake competition: Mr.. T. Bear.
The president, Mr. Robison, thanked all the ladies who had donated the supper.
Mr. V. Hurlstone has returned aftc a long, stay in the Cook Hospital.
