LABOUR PARTY
GISBORNE BRANCH At a meeting of the Gisborne branch of the Labour Party, held in the Selvyn Hall on Monday evening, Mr. E. Harris presided over a good attendance. A letter from the head oiliee asked for nominations of party officers and executive, and calling for remits for the Easter conference. Nominations wei'o received, and it was agreed to hold the election at the next meeting. A branch information bulletin dealt mainly with matters of education, and information regarding recent legislation. Advances in all branches of education were commented upon, including the physical welfare of the pupils, facilities for transport, and the "training of the teachers. A donation was received from the Labour Day dance committee to the Labour daily fund.
