It was staled to-day that certain German airmen who were shot down into the North Sea during the attack on a convoy on October 21 were rescued in consequence of the excellent work of three British trawlers. A member or the crew of on? trawler endeavoured to swim to the sinking plane with a life line, but was unable to do so because of the strong tide.
