INTOXICATED DRIVER ■ ACCIDENT SEQUEL (Per Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. Prisoners were sentenced by Mr. [ Justice Blair in the Supreme Court I to-day.
Mikeara Arapata Tautanga, a Maori, for forgery, utiering and theft was admitted to two years' probation. Vivian Harvey Were was sentenced to three years' reformative detention for being intoxicated while in charge of a car, causing injury and failing to slop to render assistance. He was sentenced to six months' reformative detention for unlawful conversion and was disqualified from obtaining a license for 10 years.
