SOCIAL EVENING
PATUTAHI GOLF CLUB TROPHIES PRESENTED An enjoyable social evening was .spent l-ecently in the Patutahi Hall by members of the Patutahi Golf Club. During the evening cups and trophies were presented by Mr. W. Jackson, a past-president of the club. In a brief speech the club captain, Mr. L. Rentier, spoke of the successful season just closed and hoped to see all the present members as keen again at the opening next season. The following trophies were presented: Club Champion.—Ladies: Mrs. J. Hogan; men: Mr. J. Edwards. McKeague Cup.—Miss J. M'Diarmid. Te Kani Pere Cup.—Mr. J. Atkins. Jackson Cup.—Mrs. C. B. Burland and Mr. J. Hogan. Alfa Laval Trophy.— i-.adies: Mrs. Len Smith; men: Mr. L. Grey. Driving.—Ladies: Miss J. Tictjen; men: Mr. Los. Smith. Approach. —Ladies: Mrs. M. Hogan; men: Mr. Les. Smith. Putting.—Ladies: Miss J. Campbell; men: Mr. Les. Smith. During an interval supper was served by the male members of the club. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing, music bemy supplied by Mrs. W. Thomson. Among those present were Mrs. J. Hogan, wearing a frock of old rose ripple satin; Mrs. L. Smith, petunia cloque: Mrs. M. Hogan, midnight blue satin suede; Mrs. R. J. Shi, floral Hat crepe in autumn tonings; Mrs. J. H. Momeith, blue and cyclamen shot taffeta; Mrs. R. Bull, black self-spotted net over satin; Mrs. P. Scammell, blue Paisley slipper satin; Mrs. H. Kennaway, black needlerun lace; Mrs. 1.. Sefton, black ripple sheer; Mrs. McWhirter, black panne velvet: Mrs. 11. Campbell, cyclamen waterwave taffeta; Mrs. T. Eade, clover embossed cloque; Mrs. A. Craill, black chiffon velvet; Mrs. A. Barber, black skirt with gold and black tunic; Mrs. A. Nicol, green checked taffeta; Mrs. Proud, pale green floral satin. Miss J. Campbell wore a frock of gold embossed satin; Miss E. Benson, clover lacquered cloque; Miss V. Benson, Marina blue chiffon; Miss Mills, blue and floral georgette; Miss D. McDiarmid, eggshell blue and flat crepe; Miss J.
