GUY'S GREAT ROUND
GOLF IN PALMERSTON EIGHT UNDER SCRATCH A great round, eight strokes below the scratch score for the course, was played by Alf Guy, the Poverty Bay Golf Club's professional, when on the Hokowhitu course, Palmerston North, Inst week. Guy is on his way to the national championships, which are to be held at Miramar this month. At Hokowhitu he went round in G 5. Everything went to perfection, and his total might have been one stroke better but for his second at the Riverside green (484yds.) going through the green.
