SUPREME COURT
NEXT WEEK’S LIST THREE CASES FOR TRIAL PRISONER FOR SENTENCE The list for the quarterly session of the Supreme Court, to open m Gisborne next Tuesday before Mr. Justice Blair, contains three cases for trial and one prisoner for sentence. The list is as follows:
Criminal Trial
Crown v. James Manuel (Mr. A. A. Whitehead), four charges of alleged carnal knowledge.
Crown v. Awherata Manuera, Paraone Tuhttra, Hirin Taiporutu, Hem Nohoaka, and Koka Hauwai (Mr. Whitehead representing all the accused), charges of alleged attempts to defraud grantee by selling stock subject to security without consent of grantee, and theft.
Crown v. William Dutton (Mr. D. C. Purdie), alleged indecent assault on a femab.
Prisoner For Sentence Olive Tamntea (Mr. Whitehehd) concealment of birth.

Humphrey Golden O’Sullivan (Mr. Ct. .1. .Teu.ie), v. Michael Francis O'Sullivan (Mr. L. T. Gurnard), claim for £IOB2 3s 7d and interest for alleged money lent and for services rendered. Before Judge Alone i F. T.Vlall, and others v. Guardian Trust and Executors Company, Limited, and others, case to be adjourned by consent to February, 1940. IN DIVORCE Before Judge and Jury of 12 ■Francis Howard Stafford (Mr. J. S. Wauchop), v. Pani Stafford (Mr. M. R. Maude), and Tuhi Smith 'co-respond-ent), on grounds of alleged adultery Before Judge Alone Margaret Mary Hooper (Mr. Burnard), v. Robert James Hooper (Mr. K. A. Woodward), on the grounds of alleged desertion. Grace Caroline Kemp (Mr. Wauchop), v. Arthur Kemp, on the grounds of an alleged agreement to separate.
William Alexander Smith (Mr. Maude), v. Madeline Smith (Mr. Wilfrid C. Kohn), grounds of alleged agreement to separate.
Janet Swainson (Mr. Burnard), v. Herbert Swainson (Mr. Wauchop). grounds of alleged agreement to separate.
In Banco Robert Cadzow Fisken (Mr. Burnard), v. Robert Julian (Police), appeal from conviction in lower court on alleged state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car. In Bankruptcy Motions for discharge in the case of three bankrupts will be made in respect of James Weston (Mr. Maude), Maki Ruawai (Mr. Wauchop), and Eric Arthur Batson (Mr. Wauchop).
