BOWLERS BEST ON DAY
THREE HALF-CENTURIES
Three half-centuries represented the best belt ins elTorts seen on Saturday, when the Poverty Bay Cricket Association opened its season on the Oval and on the Wish School Sroimds. Seven games were in progress, the Senior A Grade fixtures being twoday matches, and the B grade cricketers playing one-day games. Bowlers had the best of matters on the clay, and there were some sterling figures, put up by the more destructive trundlers. The attack is always at an advantage early in the season, and batsmen have the consolation of knowing' that they will get a bit of their own back later on.
