CATTLE FOR WAIKATO

HAWKE’S BAY DRAFT At present passing, through the Taupo district is a drive of 250 head of two and three-year steers which have travelled by road all the way from the Waipukurau district and which are on their way to Tirau. The cattle are reported to be standing up well to their long drive, a portion of which is through fairly hard country. It is not often that a line of cattle of this size is seen in the Taupo district.
