HEADMASTER’S ILLNESS GOOD WORK OF STAFF Regret was expressed by the Awapuni School Committee at its monthly meeting at the illness of the headmaster, Mr. C. Rigbv, It was reported that Mr. Rigby was leaving hospital 'his week, and those present expressed the hope that he would have a speedy recovery to complete health. The illness of the headmaster had thrown a great deal of additional work and responsibility on the teaching staff, and the committee commended them on the efficient manner in which they were carrying out their duties. It was reported that the school, and outbuildings were in a satisfactory condition. Arrangements were made to engage labour to cut grass and clear round the trees and shrubs. Disappointment was expressed at the curtailment of expenditure on ground improvements by the Education Department.
