“Clean-Up Week”

Sir, —I think it would be a wise move if the Borough Council started their “clean-up” in September next year. Every year during the show and race period our streets are littered with old tin cans, etc. I am sure visitors must think Gisborne a very untidy town. Some rubbish has been out in the road for a month and is still there. Why not put on more lorries lb remove the unsightly stuff quicker? Grey street, leading to the beach, should be cleared first, not last. OBSERVER.
