Electrical Stocks
“Will any of our stocks be diverted io other parts of New Zealand under the wartime system of control?” asked Mr. S. If. Phillips, at the meeting of < the Poverty Bay Electric-Power Board to-day. ‘That is just what we don’t know,” replied the chairman, Mr. F. R. Ball, who added that he did not think that stocks held in Gisborne would be commandeered except for emergency work. He thought it unlikely that any material would be taken from this district to serve in routine extensions of supply in other districts.
