SCRUB AND TUSSOCK FIRE
A considerable area of scrub and tussock on the Rotorua side of the Waimangu road was swept by fire on Sunday. The area involved also included several small clumps of native bush in the valleys, in which any valuable timber had been burned previously. The Whakarewarewa plantations were at, no time in danger,
