PARK SEASON CLOSING
GOLF DURING WEEK-END CANADIAN FOURSOMES Canadian mixed foursomes'will be played during the week-end to officially close the season of the Gisborne Park Golf Club. Arrangements for partners will be made at the clubhouse.
The competitions for male members will close on Saturday with the playing of a medal round. itthas been decided to close the Lunken Cup series and to declare J. McMillan and Mrs. Williams the holders for the season on their performances during the year. The final tankard competition resulted in a win for L. B. Stuart with a test round of G 6, and others of fill. 71. and 71, giving a total of 27G. They were the best figures returned to win a tankard in. the series. The bogey match played last week was won by L. Eade. • The summer eclectic competition lias proved popular among enthusiasts in past seasons, and will start with cards returned during November. Cards will be available at the Nub-house
TURANGANUI CLUB
The official closing of the Tuoi links for the 1939 season will take place on Saturday afternoon, when a mixed foursome competition will be played, members arranging their own partners. Driving, approaching and putting competitions also will be held. The presentation of trophies won during the season will take place at 3.30 p.m. Afternoon tea will be provided by the lady members, and an invitation is extended to visitors and friends to attend
