WOOL CONTROVERSY
NAPIER AND GISBORNE BROKERS NOT INVOLVED (Special to the Herald.) NAPIER, this day. With a view to making the position clear so far as the brokers were concerned, in regard to the controversy between Napier and Gisborne in the appointment of wool appraisement centres, a statement was made in Napier yesterday by Mr. D. B. Mcßae, president of the Hawke's Bay Storemen and Packers’ Association, that the brokers had not been involved in any way. “It has been reported in Gisborne." Mr. Mcßae said, "that the brokers have been connected with the agitation, but I can say definitely that they have never entered into the thing at all. They were never consulted. I make this statement in fairness to the brokers."
