Burgin, to-day visited three factories making army battle dress, great-coats and other clothing for the Ministry of Supply. j More than 3500 workers, most of i them women, are employed in the j works which Her Majesty visited. Two :of the works have been opened j specially for the mass production of | army battle dress and great-coats. i During the tour. Dr. Burgin told the I Queen that since the army expansion | scheme of four months ago, they were | now producing great-coats at a rate i faster than after four years of the last. ! war. ! Regarding all other equipment, the i weekly production is now equal to the i annual production a year ago.
