TOY BALLOONS USED
HITLER PROPAGANDA MESSAGES IN FRENCH (Reed. Oct. 25, 1.50 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 24. The Basle correspondent of the British United Press states that a cluster of toy balloons found in a suburb contained bundles of leaflets printed in French giving extracts from Herr Hitler’s speeches. % Apparently they were intended to drift to the French armies. A message from Amsterdam states that the Dutch authorities seized a German captive balloon which landed at Markelo after drifting from WiLhelmshaven. The balloon bore a warning against approaching with lights. PURCHASE OF FODDER (Reed. Oct. 25, 1.30 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 24. A Berlin message states that Germany is buying millions of tons of fodder from Russia to be delivered within two months.
