As a result of war regulations which prevent ships from using their radio transmitting sets at sea, a factor which makes the date of arrival at Auckland of vessels from overseas uncertain, a very heavy volume of inquiries is being handled by Auckland Harbour Board officials. An exceptionally busy
period was experienced over the long week-end and questions made it apparent that many did not realise that no indication of arrival times could be given until ships were sighted in the gulf.
