Reed. 11 a.m RUGBY, Oct. 24. Reports from Palestine show that the invitation to Arabs and Jews to serve in certain units of the army brought a keen response from both communities.
Air raid precaution measures ore ‘diligently supported by Jews and Arabs alike, and both races uncomplainingly abide by the war-time regulations controlling prices of food, fuel, and other essential commodities. The treaty with Turkey is hailed by the Arab press as a brilliant diplomatic success and relief is felt at the checkmate of possible German intrigues at the expense of Arab countries.
The absence of local political disputes or disorders is a notable feature of war-time conditions in Palestine and the Arabs remain solidly behind the British Government.
