Fire at Freezing Works

Fire broke out it: the carpenters’ workshoo at the Kaiti freezing works last evening, out fortunately it was discovered by the night watchman before it had- gained a strong hold. In response to a telephone call at 6.30 p.m. the tire brigade turned out and the brigade ;mon were able to put out the bla7.e by using a handoperated pump. The fire was confined to one wall in the shop and a section of the partition was badly chaired.
