N.Z. DAVIS CUP TEAM MAJOR TENNIS PLAY (Per Press .Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. A. D. Brown, the New Zealand tennis champion, has returned to New Zealand after playing for the Dominion in the Davis Cup, in which the team was eliminated by Britain. He also played in 21 tournaments. Commenting on the Davis Cup match, he said the New Zealanders lacked experience in big tennis. The team was fortunate tin having the benefit of C E. Malfroy’s experience. He said the general standard of play in New Zealand compared fav-, curably' with English county tennis in which he and others had been successful in winning a number of trophies.
