DEATH AT 49 YEARS
MR. H. S. H. WHITCOMBE AUCKLAND BUSINESSMAN (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. Tiie death occurred suddenly of Mr. Hugh Somerset Hawkes Whitcombe, aged 49, the manager of the Auckland branch of Whitcombe and Tombs, Limited. The late Mr. Whitcombe was a son of Mr George Hawkes Whitcombe, one of the founders of the firm which was established in Christchurch in 1880.
