FISHERMAN DROWNED
WASHED OFF ROCKS CAUGHT BY HEAVY SEA A young man who was fishing irom the rocks in the vicinity ol Cape Palliser lighthouse on Sunday was washed off by a heavy sea ana drowned. He was Scfton Anderson, aged 26. married, Fcathcrtsor. Mr. Anderson and Mr. .1. Frasoi were fishing off a group of rocks, about one mile and a half west ol the lighthouse, known as Fish Rocks. A very heavy sea was running. and earlier another fisherman had beer, washed off, but had managed to scramble back to safety. At fi.3o a.m., a heavy wave, it is stated, caught Mr. Anderson ami war is, and threw lnm into the sea, and he vanished immediately. Several attempts to drag for tnc body were suspended while a reaven was conducted round the fringe o. the rocks. Mrs. Anderson was away at a picnic, and consider: ble difficulty was experienced .n communicating wiili her.
Mr. Anderson went to Feathersir from Tlunily about five months ago.
