AUSTRIAN “REDS”
NAZI BLANDISHMENTS “COMRADES” IN ARMS LONDON, Oct, 10. Herr Buerckel, formerly Nazi Commissioner in Austria, and now Gauleiter (regional Governor) there, said in a speech yesterday: “It is alleged that I am too inclined to win over the Marxist workers.
“I am not only inclined, but I am proud, to win those Marxists, and to march with them, shoulder to shoulder, if they take up arms for the National Socialist State.
“Whatever may have happened in the past, every man doing his duty for us is not only an equal and a comrade, but has every claim to become a member of the party.”
