A report from Hyde Park says that President Roosevelt, his wife and mother, who attended a special service at the family , church of St. James’ Episcopal, at which a Bible was presented by Their Majesties to commemorate their attendance, at the service on June 11, heard a prayer o God to strengthen the King "that he may overcome all his enemies.” The President bowed Iris head in prayer as the unusual supplication was intoned. The Rev. Frank Wilson, for the first time in history, used the Canadian Prayer Book of the Church of England and commented that the historical significance of the Royal visit would become more evident to the American church as the years go by.”
