THE CORONER*S VERDICT

A verdict of death by accidental drowning War. returned by the district coroner. Nfr. F. ,f. Short, at an. inquest in Opotiki concerning the death of Miss Charlotte Canning Wilkins, aged !ifi, who was found dead in a. ditch near the Opot iki Hospital on October id. Deceased was missed,from the hospital, in which she had, been a patient.

Medical evidence was that deceased reached the rlitch in an exhausted condition, and did not have enough strength to get out when she fell in.
