SINKING OF CLEMENT FAMOUS SHIP SUNK (Reed. Oct. 21. 2.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 20. The Buenos Aires correspondent of he New York Times states that diplomatic circles report that the Schwabenland, a refuelling base for German air mail planes, sank the Clement on October 2. A British cruiser later sank the Schwabenland, capured the crew, and released the Clement's captain. The first officer said that Germans boarding the Clement wore Von Scheer cap ribbons GERMAN CREDITS (Reed. Oct. 21, 2.40 p.m.) BERLIN, Oct. 20. Dr. Eunk, the Nazi Minister of Economics, has announced that the Government is granting credits to German industrialists in difficulties as a result of the political- situation. CHILDREN EVACUATED (Reed. Oct. 21, 2.40 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 20.
School-children numbering 1500 or more from Rosyth and the Forth Bridge are being evacuated.
