PURCHASE PRICES DETAILS ANNOUNCED NO UNSALTED BUTTER Details have been received by dairy companies of the prices _ and conditions under which the Dominion Government is acquiring all butter and cheese exported after July 31, 1939, and which is manufactured after July 31, 1939, and on or before July 31, '1940. Prices arc as follows: — CREAMERY BUTTER

Factories are advised that unsalted butter will not require to be made. Cheese to be manufactured shall be white cheese and unwaxed, but coloured or waxed cheese already made will be accepted for shipment and

paid for at the usual premiums. Rates of insurance for produce from time of delivery of milk or cream lc factory to on board ship will be deducted from payments made to factories at the following rates: — Butter, .God per box;, cheese, ,9Gd per crate. Insurance of butter and cheese manufactured for the local market is the responsibility of the factory concerned. The Dairy Board levy to be collected on all butter and cheese exported after July 31, 1939, is 1-50 of Id per lb for butter, and 1-100 of Id per ib for cheese. The deduction will be 1.12 d per box of butter and 1.63 d per crate of cheese. The levies for the Dairy Board on butter and cheese for the local market will be I the same per pound as for export, j All port markings of butter and cheese for export are cancelled.
