GUIDES AND BROWNIES

TOKOMARU BIRTHDAYS ENJOYABLE PARTY (Hcrnlcl Correspondent.) The ninth birthday of the Tokomaru Bay Girl Guides and the second birthday of the Brownies was held recently at the carved meeting house in Tokomaru Bay. The function, which attracted a number of visitors, was a very enjoyable one, games, competitions and items passing the afternoon very pleasantly. A guard of honour was formed for the commissioner, Miss Wicksteed, who, after addressing the Guides and Brownic-s, presented the different ones with the badges earned during the year. A delicious afternoon tea was served by the committee, pride of place being given to the handsome birthday cake. ,
