The new Minister of Shipping, Sir John Gilmour. to-day met representatives of the Chamber of Shipping and the Liverpool. Steamship Owners’ Association.

The Minister stated that lie wished to work in the closest co-operaticn with the shipping industry.

It is understood that Sir John is to meet representatives and officers and men of the merchant service to-mor-row.
