DEATH OF FORMER M.P.

MR. J. S. DICKSON CHIEF REFORM WHIP (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, this day. The death is announced of Mr. James Samuel Dickson, who was M.P. for Parnell from 1911 to 1928. The late Mr. Dickson increased his majority at every election until he was defeated by Mr. H. R. Jenkins. He was one of the best-known members in the House. He successively defeated Sir John Findlay in 1911, Mr. J. J. Sullivan in 1914, Mr. T. Bloodworlh in 1919, and Messrs. M. Wren and O. Mcßrine in 1922. Mr. Dickson was chief Reform Whip.
