SOLDIER DEPENDANTS
UNMARRIED WOMEN POSSIBLE ALLOWANCE - - (Reed. Oct. 18, 2.20 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 17. Speaking in the House o:f Commons to-day, the Secretary of State for War, Mr. L. Hore-Belisha, said that an unmarried woman who was wholly or substantially maintained by a soldier with whom she had been living on a permanent domestic basis for six months before the soldier joined the colours would receive the same allowance as a wife.
