PORT OF GISBORNE VESSELS DUE AT GISBORNE Pakura. Auckland, to-morrow Margaret W., Auckland, to-morrow. Pukeko, Lyttelton and Wellington, October 25. Koparn, Auckland, October 2(i. Wainui, southern ports, October 30. COASTAL TRADE The Pakura left Auckland at 7-30 p.m. yesterday for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier. The ship arrives at Gisborne to-morrow and sails the same day for Napier. The Margaret W. was expected 1o reach Tokomaru Bay at 3 p.m. to-day from Auckland and after working Tolaga Bay to-night comes on to Gisborne. arriving here to-morrow morning. The vessel sails in the evening for Auckland. The Pukeko completes her Wellington loading to-day and after taking in general cargo at Lyttelton to-morrow and on Saturday proceeds to Napier and Gisborne. The ship is to discharge at this port on Wednesday. The Kopara loads cement at Portland to-day and general ■ cargo at Auckland on Tuesday for Coast bays, Gisborne and Napier. The Allair, which left Auckland on Tuesday morning with benzine for Gisborne, should arrive here to-day. Tlie Wainui is to load next week for Gisborne and Napier. The ship calls at Bluff, Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru. Lyttelton and Wellington. The Waiiiii is due here on October 30. The Kiwitca loads coal at Westport to-morrow and later completes at Grevmouth for Napier and Gisborne. THE WELLINGTON STAR The motor ship Wellington Star, built by llarland and Wolff, Limited, Belfast, to tlie order of the Blue Star Line, Limited, ran her trials on August 23 and 24, afterward returning to Belfast for finishing touches. She is over 550 ft. long, with a gross tonnage of 11,400, and is fully insulated for the carriage of perishable produce. There is accommodation for 12 passengers in four single and four double-berth rooms. The Wellington Star and her sistership, the Auckland Star, now completing at Belfast. will be propelled by twin sets of Harland-B and W ,fix-cylinder two-stroke double-acting Diesel engines. These vessels are 15ft longer thini the live liners which were built at the Queen’s Island for the Blue Star Line between 11)34 .and 193(1.
