KING OF ITALY REFUSAL OF WAR (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Tress Assn.) (Reed. Oct. 19, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 18. The Geneva correspondent of the Daily Mail says that the King of Italy recently declared: "As long as I am head of the House of Savoy, Italy will never take up arms against France.” The Daily Telegraph says that the Italian Ambassador, Signor Barlianini, called on the Foreign Secretary, Viscount Halifax, and discussed the EuroItalian Ambassador, Signor Bastianini, brought no precise proposals front Italy, but he assured Lord Halifax that Italy's good olfices were always available if the belligerent Governments should desire to end the war.
