The Waikohu Golf Club’s 19,1!) j season was, brought to a close last | week-end with a Canadian foursome. | the 'best score ibeing returned by R. Fisher and Mrs. 11. O’Connell. | At the conclusion of play the president, Mr. M. .T. Kyne, preparatory to presenting the trophies, expressed appreciation of the good attendance to mark the official closing of a successful season. Mr. Kyne spoke in eulogistic terms of the promoter and secretary, Mr. W. V. R. Luttrell, and his work in selecting and laying out the Puhn links. With minor improvements the course would try tiro skill of many low mark players. He called for three cheers for Mr. Luttrell. In thanking members for their appreciation. Mr. Luttrell .said that although the lay-out. was hard he felt sure it would be of benefit to players. Trophies were presented as follows: Senior Championship. E. Bradley. Junior Championship.—-W. I. Bruce. Ladies’ Senior Championship. —Mrs. C. Oaukrodigcr. Ladies’s Junior Championship.—Mrs. E. Tait. Club Handicap.—E. Burn. Club Handicap, ladies.—Mrs. E. Tait. Promoter Shield and Ruru Ferns. — W. V. R. Luttrell and Miss L. Ruru. i Mrs. Bullivant’.s troohy.—Mrs. C. i Gaugrodger. Yearly Eclectic. —W. Luttrell and Miss L. Ruru. i Monthly medal matches were won Ins follows:—S.
