POST OFFICE CHANGES

DISTRICT TRANSFERS FILLING OF VACANCIES The volunteering for active service of -men in the Post and Telegraph Department has caused many changes in the offices throughout the Dominion, and the following alterations have been made in the personnel. of the offices in the Gisborne district, the majority of the transfers being given effect to now: — Mr. J. ’ White, telegraphist, Gisforne, has been transferred to a simi- t lar position at Hamilton North. He is replaced in Gisborne by Mr. H. D. B. Hamlin, a cadet from the Nuhaka office. Mr. I. G. E. Selves, exchange clerk, Gisborne, has been transferred to Napier in a similar capacity. Mr. A. W. Prisk, exchange clerk, Tokomaru Bay, has gone as a messenger to the Lower Hutt office, and is replaced on the Coast by Mr. J. H. Pettigrew, exchange clerk formerly of Waharoa. Mr. J. A. Corbett, exchange clerk, Tokomaru Bay. has been transferred to Te Aroha. Mr. G. T. Mitchell, Eketaliuna, has filled the vacancy at Tokomaru Bay. Mr. A. S. Martin, telegraphist, Te Araroa, has received notice -~f his transfer as postmaster at Raunmu, and will be reolaced by Mr. S. M. Moss, telegraphic t, Mangaweka. Mr. F. .1.
