Mr. Fred Reynolds, Barkers Hill, left by plane yesterday to join the staff of the National' Cash Register Compn ny, Wei 1 ing ton. Mr. Sam McLernon, of the staff of the Public Trust Office, Wellington, and son of Mr. and Mrs. 11. P. McLernon, Hurahura road, this week enters Trentham camp for service with the Special force. Colonel R. F. Gambrill and Mr. J. W. Fcrgie, members of the Transport Co-ordinating Committee for the Gisborne-East Coast district, left today for Wellington, where they are to attend a conference ol district delegates. They are expected to return to Gisborne by the week-end. Battery Sergeant-Major IT. Craw-ford-Smith, Napier, attached to the first Regiment, 24th Battery, N.Z.A., who has been in camp at Ngaruawahia, has been transferred to the officers’ training school at Trentham. Sergeant-Major Crawford-Smith is a former Hawke’s Bay representative footballer, and enlisted for service while in Auckland with the Wellington representative team,
