SMOKE CONCERT
CELTIC FOOTBALL CLUB An enjoyable evening was spent by members and supporters of the Celtic Football Club at a smoke concert held in the Amateur Athletic Club's rooms, Derby street, on Saturday night. Mr. A. H. Airey presided over an attendance of 63 and during the evening the following toasts were hon-oured:--“The King”; “The" Poverty Bay Rugby Union,” proposed by Mr. B. E. Malone, and responded to by Mr. K. R. Waite; “The Poverty Bay Rugby Referees Association” proposed by Mr. A. McAneney and responded to by Mr. I. Charles; “Kindred Clubs,” proposed by Mr. A. H. Airey and responded to by Mr. P. Wall, Old Boys; Mr. R. Quinn, Marist and Mr. Ritchie, H. 5.0.8. Mr. A. Pilkington led' the gathering in community singing, ar.d songs were sung by Messrs. W. Wilkie and P. Thompson.
