DEATH AT 102 YEARS
The death has occurred at Tc Kopua pa, Raglan, of Rira Rawiri Kereopa, well-known member of the Maori race, aged 102. She was born at Taurarua, Parnell, and later moved to Taranaki and joined the natives who were lighting under the great chief To Titokowaru, She went to Raglan in 1870 and had lived there ever since. She is survived by five sons and over 100 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
