WHEAT SHORTAGE
JAPANESE RESTRICTONS (Reed. Oct. IC. 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Oct. 14. The United States' Trade Commissioner at Tokio reports that a wheat shortage has resulted from the Japanese Government restricting wheat and flour exports to its yen bloc areas. -If the control is effective, Japanese flour will cease to compete with Australian and American exports to North China and Manchukuo.
