POVERTY BAY CLUB OFFICIAL CLOSING DAY CANADIAN FOURSOMES Saturday marked the official closing of the Poverty Bay Golf Club for the season, but the other clubs arc playing late season scries. POVERTY BAY CLUB Preparatory to presenting the principle prizes won by the men during the season, the Poverty Bay club captain. Dr. F. Kahlenberg, asked that as many members as possible continue on the summer membership. He emphasised that in the present difficult times it was essential that ail sporting insllitutions should be kept going even at inconvenience and sacrifice by those concerned. It would be very satisfactory to those returning from the war if they could readily continue or take up golf in established clubs.
