Petrol License Conditions.

Further information concerning the conditions under which special licenses will be permitted motorists requiring extra petrol for holiday tours have been received in Gisborne by the chief postmaster, Mr. A. M. Robertson. An announcement was made yesterday ♦hat an additional 30 gallons of petrol would be allowed for cars over 14 h.p., and 20 gallons for vehicles under that rating, providing the cars were to be used for genuine holiday tours. It is now stated that the allowance will not be available for motorists intending to make only week-end tours. The trip must be a planned one of no less than five days' duration before the additional license will be granted.
