GOOD SPRING LITTERS GISBORNE PIG WEIGHTS In view of the seasonal conditicns this year, weights of spring litters in the Gisborne district are considered very satisfactory. None of those on the Coast, reported a fortnight ago, exceeded 401 b., but two out of three weighed by Mr. F. R. Bould, stock inspector for Gisborne, went above that figure, while a third, a big litter of 10, was above 351 b. The three litters referred to were recorded as under: — 'Rangatira Pig Club, Te Knraka, Berkshire.—Eight piglets; weight at three weeks, 1051 b; weight at eight weeks, 3471 b; average weight at e:g'ht weeks, 43.41 b: individual weights, males 411 b, 431 b, 411 b, females 361 b, 481 b, 461 b, 4Gib, 461 b. •Mr. Geo. Brown, Puha, Berkshire.— Ten piglets; weight at three weeks, 1021 b; weight at eight weeks. 3511 b: average weight at eight week-:, 35.11 b: individual weights, males 401 b, 421 b, 301 b. 371 b, 291 b, females 331 b, 381 b, 371 b, 251 b, 351 b. Te Arai Pig Club,- Mamiluke, Tamworth, a first litter. —'Five piglets; weight at eight weeks. 2031 b: average at eight weeks, 40. Gib; individual weights, males 401 b, 421 b, 361 b, females 411b,’ 441 b.
