DISTRICT TESTING LAST MONTH’S FIGURES GOOD WAIPAOA RETURNS ! In a list ,of group performances under the Bay ■of Plenty and East Coast Herd Improvement Association. Gisborne herds have achieved some good performances, a small one in the Waipaoa group heading the herds in the association, while another . herd of 21, also in the Waipaoa group, has the second highest average, the averages being 521 b. of butterfat in the case of the former and 491 b. in the other instance. A Wairoa herd of 1G cows had the second highest figure of the herds of up to 20 cows, the average being 481 b. of fat per cow, while the Waipaoa herd with 491 b., together with a 'Whakatane herd of 35 cows, led the section of from 21 to 50 cows. Among the herds of from 51 to 100 cows, 59 cows in the Manutuke group had the second highest figure with 451 b., the highest in that division being 461 b. put up by an Edgecumbe herd of Q 0 cows. There were few herds in the Gisborne and East Coast districts above 100 cows; one in the Tolaga Bay group with 109 cows averaging 281 b. A herd of 116 in the Edgecumbe group led the section of those with more than 100 cows with an average of 391 b.
