CHINESE CASUALTIES
VERSION FROM TOKIO (Reed. Oct. 10, 2.30 p.m.) TOKIO, Oct. 9. The Domei News Agency states, that 28,000 Chinese were killed and 2600 taken prisoner in the series of operations in the Hunan province. The Japanese casualties totalled 545 dead and 1900 wounded.
