MOTHER’S UNION
MANUTUKE MEETING (Herald Correspondent.) A well-at tended meeting of the Manutuke Mothers' Union was held at the mission house with Mrs. RKeiha presiding. An admission service was held at the Maori Anglican Church, conducted -by the Rev. AV. !’• Mataiia, when Mesdames P. Te Hau, B. Hokianga, and 11. Maynard were enrolled. Mrs-. P. Keiha expressed her pleasure at the increase in membership and the good spirit amongst them. She extended a welcome to visitors from Muriwai, Gisborne, and Makaraka. The speaker for the day was Mrs. Randall Sherratt, who gave an interesting talk on “Our Garden. This was followed h.v an exhibition of paintings of native (lowers and trees by Miss Watkins. Prayers for peace, in Maori, were given to all members. It. was decided that the next meeting should take the form of an intercession service, and that a "bring and buy” would lie held at the mission house on November 22. Among’ tlie visitors present were Misses Davis, Beattie, and Watkins; Mesdames, Randall Sherratt, T. Halbert (Makaraka), T. Brown (Muriwai), and IS. Toroa.
